“ I was very pleased with the chicken wings from here. The chicken was actually cooked well but not dry. You can tell they were fresh wings and not frozen. The sizes were great as well. The sauce choices get overwhelming because there's so many to choose and you want them all. You can always order a side of sauce. The staff were pretty nice and patient as well we're making our order. They provided great advice when searching for our meal. The table has these rice cakes snacks that comes with your meals while you wait. The tables also have gloves which was a plus. You don't get your hands dirty while eating. Prices are a little expensive, but I can say the quality is great. Would definitely eat here again. ”

“ Best thing about bb.q, other than the light, crunchy taste of their chicken, is the fact that THEY DON'T USE ANY SEED OIL to fry their chicken. They use olive oil with a blend of spices resulting in light tasting, non-greasy chicken wings. Even with the sauces, it's still crispy and light. Many sauces to choose from, we tried their popular cheesling flavor and the spicy galbi. Both lived up to their popularity, my favorite being cheesling. Each order of wings comes with their fresh pickled daikon radish which gives that pickled crunch, a perfect compliment to the wings. Even the simple fries we ordered were good because you could actually taste the potato as opposed to other places which fry in reused seed oils, making its fries heavy, greasy with zero taste. The gentlemen who ran the restaurant during our visit, Jeremy and Fred, were very friendly, professional, attentive and answered all our questions about the menu. This is a dine-in and take-out place. Plenty of room for dine-in and very clean. They will take your order once you seat yourself or you can place your order at the front counter. We also noticed a busy stream of take-out which moved pretty fast. Looking forward to trying the many other flavors of wings as well as the other dishes such as their fried rice, yaki udon, Ddeok bokki as well as the the many other sides. ”

“ Chicken wings were good. ( they weren't extra big as one review stated) . I had the Secret sauce. Those French fries were so darn good!! I didn't even need ketchup!!! Fresh the right amount of salt .. they were great. ( I love potatoes) lol my wings were crispy. Cooked correctly. I wish I took photos however lol . Customer service was great as well. Ambiance was as it should be for an eatery. I live in Novi! I wasn't disappointed with the drive it took to try this establishment ”

“ Ordered pick up for some of their boneless soy garlic and cheesling chicken and the workers were friendly and the store was clean and nice. Good amount of space for indoor seating but not huge for tons of ppl to eat in. Food was good! I lived in South Korea for 5 years and lived for eating their fried chicken. While it definitely is comparable to their South Korean branch, the cheesling needs more powder on it imo. If it is supposed to be the Americanized version of the Korean cheesling chicken, misses the mark a little. But honestly for me, it isn't such a big deal because it still tastes good nonetheless. The soy garlic was mmm my fave. Loved it. And the portions are hefty! We got 8 pcs per flavor and for boneless chicken, it was pretty big. Fed two adults and a monster-eating toddler lol. If you're looking for some of that authentic & nostalgic KFC (korean fried chicken not Kentucky lol), bb.q Troy is the place to satisfy that! ”

The batter is always super crispy and light, I feel like you get more chicken with the boneless compared to bone-in wings. The staff here are all super friendly and helpful on recommendations. The store itself is small as it can get packed really easily inside and parking can sometimes be a hassle, but overall a great place to come with family and friends. I highly recommend getting their app so you can get points with your purchases ! ”

“ This is hands-down my favorite chicken place. The Soy garlic and cheesling chicken wings are my top favorites. The cheesling fries are also a must-try. For appetizers the rosé deokbokki is sooooo amazing. Their server was so nice and everything was made fresh. This place is clean, they have plates, utensils, and gloves on the table. I keep coming back to this place! ”

“ Tried them for lunch and they exceeded our expectations! The hardest choice was deciding what I liked best. We definitely loved the kimchi fried rice and the Ddeok-Bokki although with the Ddeok next time we'd skip the cheese. The shredded cheese just seem to Americanize a delicious dish without enhancing it. We also got the 8pc wings with secret sauce and loved the crunch and juiciness of the chicken. The sauce was a good combination of garlic and heat and a subtle sweetness. I'd try some of the other sauces next time though. We also got the boneless with Galbi which was a sweet glaze type sauce and the chicken was again very juicy. Our servers were attentive and helpful. The inside was modern and had everything you needed at the table, paper plates, gloves, napkins, plastic ware. Will be back to try the rest of the menu items and so glad it's not far away for us! ”
